About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as anAdvanced Traineewithin Obstetrics and Gynaecology where you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the provision of clinical services under consultant supervision to WCHN inpatients and outpatients predominately with a Maternal-Fetal Medicine focus.
- Demonstrating a commitment to clinical teaching and participate in associated research projects.
- Assessment and management of new patients, in consultation with the supervising Consultant.
- Review and follow up of ward patients admitted through Outpatient Clinic

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 6- or 12-month Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Trainee allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- At least 2 years satisfactory experience as a Medical Registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, their relatives and other staff.
