About Us: AES Hobart is a premier emergency veterinary hospital committed to providing exceptional care to pets in their time of need. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by a team of experienced veterinarian professionals dedicated to excellence in emergency medicine.

The Internship: We are offering a unique ECC internship (3 and 6 month programs experience dependent) designed to provide recent veterinary graduates or experienced veterinarians with the opportunity to gain practical experience in emergency and critical care medicine. As an ECC intern at AES Hobart, you will:

  • Work alongside experienced ECC veterinarians and specialists in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Participate in the diagnosis and treatment of emergency cases across a wide range of species.
  • Develop proficiency in emergency procedures, including trauma management, advanced life support, and critical care interventions.
  • Receive mentorship and guidance from our team of seasoned professionals to support your growth and development as an emergency veterinarian.
  • Have access to Imrpove International courses - included in internship

Requirements:
  • Degree in veterinary medicine recognised in Australia as per AVBC
  • Strong passion for emergency and critical care medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment.
