AddressHuon is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Able Seaman/Integrated Rating looking to join the team on our Wellboats!
The role
The Ronja Huon and Ronja Storm vessels are based out of Port Huon and operate across all our Southern Marine sites from Storm Bay to the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. As an Able Seaman/Integrated Rating, you will be required to support the Master and Officers in their areas of responsibility, ensuring work is undertaken in a safe and competent manner. Your duties include:
- Meeting Sea Service Requirements and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Assisting in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses should they occur.
- Cleaning, repairing, and maintenance across the ship.
- Assisting in loading, unloading, refuelling and returning of waste.
- Assisting in mooring and casting off for arrivals, departures and bathing.
- Following procedures in accordance with ISM/IL-AKVA.
These fulltime positions operate on either a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off or 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off rosters.
About you
- You hold an AMSA certificate of competency STCW II/4 with relevant experience in the industry.
- You have a current AMSA medical.
- You have a current and valid driver’s licence.
- You are an excellent communicator with proven ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously.
- You have demonstrated the ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty and remain calm in a changing environment.
- You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes.
