The Aboriginal Liaison Officer Role
The Aboriginal Liaison Officer will provide a holistic support including addressing social issues, working in a collaborative and participative framework to increase continuity of care across the health setting and promoting better outcomes for Aboriginal people with the aim to prevent and avoid hospital presentation and reduce inpatient length of stay and readmission. The position will contribute to networking and maintenance of collaborative partnerships between service providers, non-government agencies and the community throughout the region.
Must have successful completion of Cert III in Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Certificate III (Practice or Community Care), or equivalent tertiary qualification.
This is a part time vacancy, working 37.5 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
