AddressRole Details:
Reporting to the Senior Geology Assistant, predominately your role will be assisting the geological team to facilitate optimum production in the core yard operations for both surface and underground drilling programs. Additionally, there are some field based tasks during drill program downtime.

This role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract to a residential candidate based in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on an 8 days on 6 days off roster or 4 days on 3 days off roster.

A day in the life:
Shift starts at 6am
Complete breathalyzer
Attend pre-start meeting – talk about safety, general overview of works happening
Senior Geology Assistant gives out jobs for the day which could include:
Working in the Core Shed processing diamond drill core
Orientation
Meter Marking
RQD
Core Photography
Cutting/sampling
Following quality control protocols
Data entry using computer into Acquire and other software
Prepare samples to be dispatched to the assay laboratory
Working in a team of 8
Rehabilitation of drill sites (pending drill programs) and field work as required
Training and development for the role is offered on site and the role is mostly manual labour type work working in the Core Shed.
About you:
You will hold a valid manual driver’s licence
Ideally you will hold a forklift ticket or be willing to obtain
Possess a Senior First Aid Certificate is desirable
Like to work competently in an outdoor role in remote environments during drill program downtime
