The Contracts, Policy and Compliance Section is responsible for developing procurement frameworks and policy for the entire department, partnering with goods and services and construction related business areas in development of policy related to construction procurement and initiating and leading the implementation of a range of improvements related to Aboriginal procurement programs, projects and services.In this role, you'll lead the implementation of procurement initiatives, provide expert advice, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to maximise opportunities for, and engagement of, Aboriginal people and businesses. From managing complex negotiation processes, undertaking continuous evaluation, and to streamlining prequalification procedures, you'll drive impactful strategies that align with our department's objectives.About You
If you're a dynamic and collaborative leader with a strong background in procurement and stakeholder engagement, this role is for you. You'll bring extensive experience in managing projects, motivating teams, and communicating effectively across all levels.As a successful candidate, you'll showcase your ability to act with urgency, develop and foster relationships and consultation with Aboriginal people and businesses, act as a key liaison with government and external stakeholders, implement innovative solutions, and navigate complex challenges. Your strategic mindset and commitment to customer-focused practices will be essential in driving our procurement initiatives forward and driving sustainable change.You’ll demonstrate your ability to provide advice and recommendations to influence practices and the use of expert knowledge to identify and connect Aboriginal businesses to departmental procurement opportunities and to lead engagement with Aboriginal businesses and business networks.What we offer
