Academic Planning Coordinator

What’s the job?
The Academic Planning Coordinator functions in the capacity of Academic Planning and Business Analysis involving analysing business and data by gathering, identifying and documenting business requirements. This role optimises processes, procedures and supports the implementation of strategic business planning and intelligence systems and initiatives throughout the student lifecycle of Higher Educational and Vocational programs across Academic Administration functions within Torrens Global Education (TGE).
This role involves collaboration with academic leaders, faculty members, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and deploy functional solutions by using data and project management techniques to ensure the implementation and monitoring of academic quality best practices that contribute to student success and academic achievement.
Day-to-day accountabilities:
Principal Accountabilities:
Collaborate with academic leaders, faculty members, and other stakeholders to identify, elicit and document business requirements using project management tools and techniques including development & monitoring of data quality metrics, focusing on academic administration operations, programs, and services.
Assist in the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports, employing data to provide visualisations that support decision-making processes within the academic faculties.
Identify and assess discrepancies/errors in reports and systems, providing recommendations for optimal business practices to internal stakeholders, and contributing to the enhancement of system functionalities.
Generate and implement timely reports on Student Academic Progression, Class Size, and Exam Timetables by using information systems and technologies.
Maintain knowledge of all Course Architectures of courses delivered within the faculties.
Manage and maintain company systems and databases, ensuring the accuracy of information and compliance with data governance policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.

This is a maternity leave, 12 month Fixed Term Contract role can be located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and OR Adelaide.
Who you are?
To be successful in this position you will have:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Information System/Technology, or similar is typically required for this position, along with relevant work experience
Demonstrate minimum 2 years' experience within the University or VET sector
Previous experience in business analysis methodologies, techniques and best practices
Experience in Agile project management software, tools and techniques
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPS, IF statements, Data Validation, Conditional Formatting, Subtotals, and Error checking
Familiarity with Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) and Macros
Proficiency in SQL database management
Demonstrated high level of time management and ability to handle multiple projects
Highly developed project management skills, supporting effective implementation in an Agile environment
Understanding of ASQA and TEQSA regulatory compliance requirements in Academic Administration
