About the Role

The Academic Programs Coordinator, reporting to the Manager, Curriculum and Teaching Support, plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Faculty's academic leadership and central services to drive projects and processes enhancing teaching and learning excellence.

With a focus on new initiatives, the role oversees the coordination of projects, programs, and events while supporting ongoing administrative functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work collaboratively with academic leadership, colleagues and beyond the immediate work unit and central services to facilitate the development and delivery of faculty-wide programs and events.
  • Work collaboratively across the wider Faculty Student and Academic Services team to support the student experience through integrated programs design.
  • Contribute to the Faculty’s teaching and learning practices through championing successful technology solutions and identifying opportunities to enhance the Faculty’s capabilities and usage of technology.

Who We Are Looking For

You will possess highly developed organisational and planning skills, encompassing project and program planning, management, event organization, as well as communication planning, evaluation, and reporting. Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including proficient report writing skills, essential for effectively conveying ideas and findings.

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, and experience within a student advising or administrative role, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and/or training.
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation and the capacity to initiate and build strong working relationships with academic and professional staff from across the University
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously but also as a member of a project team, working closely with stakeholders and initiating dialogues with system specialists

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
