Academic Support Officer (Research), School of Humanities and Social Sciences

Employment type:  Full time, 35hrs 
Duration: Fixed term* for a period of up to 12 months 
Remuneration: Level 4/5 from $75,927 – $93,711 plus 17% Superannuation 
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Why Your Role Matters:
Under the direction of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences School Manager the Academic Support Officer (Research) provides administrative support and assistance within the School to ensure effective delivery of the teaching and research activities of the School.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A post-secondary qualification with relevant work experience or equivalent knowledge. Proficiency in various computing skills and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse people. Commitment to UNSW’s values, policies, and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering accurate and timely outcomes. Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to relevant training.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
