  • APS3 Equivalent 37+ p/h + super
  • Located in Robina, Queensland
  • Up to 6 months & 12 months with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements.

About the Team
Join the National Access and Reassessment Branch where we are dedicated to ensuring fair and timely assessments for individuals seeking access to disability services. Our team works collaboratively to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and efficiency in every assessment and reassessment we undertake.

About the Role
As an APS3 Access Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment process, ensuring all documentation is reviewed and processed in alignment with relevant policies and legislation. You'll provide essential support to both internal and external stakeholders, offering clear guidance and assistance regarding access and eligibility inquiries. This role involves a combination of administrative tasks, customer service duties, and basic research and analysis activities.

  • Reviewing, processing, and assessing documentation to facilitate access decisions.
  • Providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries via phone and email.
  • Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with organisational standards and policies.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence effectively.
  • Conducting basic research and analysis as required.
  • Informing prospective participants of application progress and rights.

About you
To thrive in this role, you need:

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and instructions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in service delivery environments.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
