The Opportunity

As an Account Manager for our Concrete Business, you will play a key role in driving sales and nurturing strong relationships with our clients. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and providing customised concrete solutions to meet our clients' needs. Your expertise in sales and account management will contribute to our overall business growth and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Understand clients' requirements and provide customised concrete solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Track sales performance, meet targets, and report on sales activities to management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry advancements.

About You

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or Sales Representative in the construction or building materials industry, with a focus on concrete sales.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Solid understanding of concrete products, applications, and construction processes.
  • Proactive attitude towards safety, and “mates looking after mates” values.
  • Ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic sales plans.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
