Our client specialises in the contract manufacture of Therapeutics (Prescription, OTC, & Complementary medicines), Medical Devices, and Personal Care products.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate will manage commercial relationships with an allocated portfolio of customers, investigate and build business opportunities with current and potential clients.

This role will suit a customer-focused and dynamic individual to manage business relationships and services, who can demonstrate solid experience in a manufacturing environment and customer-facing experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong and effective business relationships with allocated customers
  • Identify and grow new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) opportunities with clients, follow the market trends and promote relevant technologies
  • Communicate client needs to internal stakeholders—R&D, QA, packaging, purchasing, production and logistics
  • Project manage all-new product requirements and manage deadlines
  • Routinely monitor and review product pricing with the costing team
  • Actively support contract agreements—monitor key contractual terms and obligations to ensure they are met
  • Together with Account Coordinators facilitate resolutions to customer complaint inquiries, sample requests, and product information requests
  • Facilitate project management activities across the business
  • Provide administrative and strategic support to the Commercial Manager
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

SELECTION CRITERIA

As this is a technical, customer-focused role, to be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant science or engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a busy manufacturing environment working with pharmaceutical or cosmetic products in a TGA facility
  • Account Management experience, Internal Sales or Product Management/Development experience would suit this busy technical & commercial role
  • Effective relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience managing or assisting NPD processes
  • You will be a good listener with highly developed interpersonal skills, including exceptional oral and written communication in English
  • A demonstrated ability to manage complex workloads, set priorities, and gain commitment from staff and external providers to meet deadlines
  • Multitasking – strong time management skills
  • Experience and understanding of the regulatory framework around TGA, GMP will be highly regarded
