HCO is looking for a dynamic, experienced Accountant 0.6 FTE to assist with processing transactions, reporting financial activity and accurately administering and maintaining financial records.
Your duties will include:
- Maintain billing compliance in line with contracts and NDIS rules and regulations.
- Dealing and responding to debtor inquiries.
- Liaise with government agencies, Plan managers, public trustees regarding client pending and support payments.
- Prepare Client quotes and processing claims, invoices and portal bookings.
- Management of and provide specialist knowledge on NDIS Portal data and operation.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Create comprehensive reports or other documents to communicate ideas, concepts or analysis of financial data.
- Assist in monitoring cash reserves and maintain cash flow controls.
- Reconciliation of debtors account and timely management of outstanding accounts.
- Assist in preparation of strategic information as requested and Profit & Loss reporting for each cost locations for month end reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
- Oversee Accounts Payable tasks and induction of new staff as required.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and provide reports as required.
- Coordinate Billing enquiries, ensure Billing is up to date and meets NDIS requirements.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures within area of responsibility
- Assist in implementing efficient processes which streamline and maximise client irregular hour billing by coordinating and follow ups with CST including accurate record keeping
To be successful in this role you will have as essential attributes:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications
- In depth knowledge and Experience of the NDIS scheme and the PRODA Portal.
- Experience in the use of fully integrated finance systems
- Managing and prioritising a variety of tasks and resources to achieve outcomes within timeframes and with high levels of accuracy
- Informed current knowledge of principles and practices relevant to best practice in finance administration
- An understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures as they apply to financial management and audit requirements
