We are now looking for an experienced Accountant to support our Finance Manager and the day to day accounting function within the agency.
This is a full time role, located in our head office in Balmain, Sydney. The salary on offer is $70k + Super.
The day to day duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day financial transactions including Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
- Payroll processing including superannuation lodgements.
- Assisting with preparation of P&L and balance sheet.
- Reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and resolving any issues that arise.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes to support informed decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with ATO and State based regulations including payroll tax.
- Supporting Finance Manager with month end process including month end journals, WIP Revenue Recognition & balance sheet reconciliations.
- Continuous process improvement and streamlining processes.
- Collaborating with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights as needed.
- Has a bachelor's degree in accounting
- Is working towards CA / CPA
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting and familiar with month end process (2-3 years)
- Preferred experience in medium size businesses, showcasing an understanding of business operations.
- Willingness to be hands on with various tasks such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the role, as the company grows.
- Able to convey complex financial information clearly.
- Possess strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proactive and able to take initiative, especially in a dynamic business environment.
