Findex is one of the largest providers of accounting, audit, tax, business and financial advice to individuals, small and medium enterprises in Australasia.We pride ourselves on an integrated service offering, giving our clients the peace of mind that comes with knowing their financial and lifestyle goals are being looked after.Our mission is to have a meaningful and lasting impact on our people and clients, and to enrich the communities of which we are part of.The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join us on a 6-month basis to initially assist with Same Day Tax Refunds (SDTR) (June - September) as well as to provide accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients, across a broad range of industries.This is a maximum term position commencing from June 2024.Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the primary preparer of personal Income Tax Returns.
• Maintaining compliance with internal and external regulative bodies adhering to Tax Agent requirements.
• Guiding clients through their tax returns using expertise and a keen eye for detail, in order to legitimately minimise tax positions (and maximise refunds).
• Consistently provide quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy to a diverse portfolio of clients
• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for family groups including individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
• Completion of other compliance needs for clients including Business Activity Statements

Key Skills:

• Previous experience preparing tax returns within a similar accounting role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, familiar with working with a diverse range of clients.
• Have the ability to work both unsupervised and with-in a team, to achieve the best outcome for clients.
