About the Role
To support our success, an exciting opportunity exists for an Accountant to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
Within the role, you will be responsible for:
Generate regular financial statements like the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement and review them regularly.
Work together with regulatory entities such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as necessary.
Assuring the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
Create and suggest accounting policies and procedures to maintain control measures.
Coordinate with external financial institutions to prepare income tax returns for the organization.
Gather and structure accounting information to provide financial insights to management.
Audit financial documents to verify transactions.
Examine account details to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
Maintain the confidentiality of financial data to preserve trust and operational integrity.
Assess the efficiency of accounting software such as MYOB and XERO.
Conduct routine assessments of systems, implementing updates and enhancements as needed.
Improve systems and processes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Payroll, and Superannuation.
Develop and implement policies about budgetary and accounting systems and processes.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of AQF Bachelor or Higher (Relevant field)
- Enthusiastic and motivated individual.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience is a must.
- Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.
- Expected salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (plus superannuation) per year
