About the role:
A vacancy exists for an up-and-coming Accountant to join our finance team on a full time basis at Knox Private Hospital.
This is a 'hands-on' transactional role, reporting to the Director of Finance/Finance Manager and is ideal for someone who is a star Financial or Assistant Accountant in their current role, and is now looking for a new challenge.

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a recently expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.

Work is almost completed on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne's east.
The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients, and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility.
As an Accountant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Month-end journals and closing
· Balance Sheet Reconciliations
· Budgeting and forecasting
· AP & AR
· Perform the accounts payable coding and approval process
· Business analytics and reporting
· Variance and trend analysis
· Business Partnering
· Assist with key financial decision-making
· Administer staff expenses
· Prepare and manage sundry accounts receivable records and communications with stakeholders
Essential Criteria:
· Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting.
· CA or CPA qualification or workings towards
· Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders
· Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
· Minimum of 3 years' professional experience, preferably gained in a commercial environment
· Advanced time management skills including the planning, prioritizing and scheduling of tasks
· Excellent attention to detail in the recording and reporting of information
· Advanced Excel skills and similar experience in ERP
· Outcome orientated.
· Previous Health Industry experience is desirable
· Experience as an analyst or business partner is desirable
