An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join the REX Adelaide Airport Team as the Airport Manager.
Reporting:
This position will report to the National Airports Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Airport activities in accordance with company policies and procedures for the Rex Group
- Ensuring high levels of work safety and compliance with applicable Health and Safety requirements
- Lead and manage a team of staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, and employee coaching and development
- Identification of staff training requirements and liaising with the Ground Training Department
- Ensuring compliance with airport security regulations and requirements
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day airport operations, including terminal services, airside operations, ground handling and facilities maintenance
- Manage the budget and financial performance of the airport, including invoicing and financial reporting
- Oversight of the Adelaide Rex Lounge and staff rosters
- Ensuring compliance by staff with the company code of conduct
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with airlines, government agencies, SA Outport agents and other stakeholders
- Management of Rex Customer Service Staff and oversight of Ramp Staff
- Performance monitoring of service level agreements with all relevant contractual service providers
- Liaising with Adelaide Airport Management as the Company Representative
- Handling and banking of collected money and petty cash
- Liaison with other company departments on operational matters incl. chairing regular Port Meetings with other Managers & Supervisors
- Other duties as reasonably requested
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Airline/Industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing people, preferably in airport operations or aviation management
- Proven ability to manage employee performance
- Working knowledge of airline reservations and check in systems preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure
