INTRODUCTION TO THE COLLEGE

Irene McCormack Catholic College offers a Catholic education from Year 7 to Year 12 that is Christ centred and Student focused, and inspired by the life of Sr Irene McCormack, Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. About the role

We seek applications from dynamic, experienced, welcoming, and friendly Administration and Student First Aid who is organised, has initiative and would thrive working in a busy Secondary School environment. 

The role will suit a well-presented individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent customer service skills, and experience in a similar position in an educational institution. Experience with SEQTA and AoS databases will be highly advantageous.

In this role, you would be expected to

  • Attending to students in Sickbay and recording details on SEQTA.
  • Preparation of First Aid supplies for excursions and camps, including individual student medical and health records.   
  • Keeping accurate records of First Aid incidents and outcomes.
  • Producing database records (class lists, medical reports etc) as requested.
  • Recording students medical details on AoS.
  • Completing students and staff Incident Forms.
  • Recording Students with Disabilities in conjunction with the Head of Learning Support.
  • Auditing medication and Medical First Aid kits and classroom notices.
  • Providing a prompt, professional and friendly service to all visitors to reception.
  • Liaising with parents, parent body groups and Students as required.
  • Providing appropriate information relating to the College’s activities, services and facilities.
  • Covering Student Services when required.
  • Processing student absentees when required.
  • Answering the incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Recording and advising staff of messages received in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ordering stationery, medical and staffroom supplies.
  • Receipting payments.
  • Bulk emails to families.
  • Updating family contact details on AoS.
  • Assisting with data entry on the Student and Family database. 
  • Assisting with processing of confiscated items and lost property.
  • Data entry and administrative support to the Executive Leadership Team and other staff when required.
  • Awards Certificates.
  • Data entry and administrative support to the Executive Leadership Team and other staff when required.
  • Admin support for Parent/Teacher interviews.
  • Admin Support for National Examinations.

To be successful in this role you will be able to meet the following criteria

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • An ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers.
  • Current Cleared Education Department National Police History Check.
  • Current Working with Children Card.
