About the Opportunity
Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to deliver Council's Housing programs, provide administration support to carry out the programs, activities and operations of the Department as well as providing high level customer service.
This position can be based at any of our major regional centres (Dalby/Miles/Chinchilla/Tara or Wandoan), and is full time, fixed term until 20 December 2024.
Reporting to the Supervisor Operations - Facilities, you will be:
- Providing professional and administrative assistance to the Facilities team as required;
- Facilitating and providing assistance to the Venues Officers, event organisers, internal and external stakeholders with venue hire, event, inspections, bond processing, and the maintenance and cleanliness of Council's facilities;
- Working with stakeholders to effectively manage Council's housing stock and associated programs;
- Delivering Council's Community Housing Program including all tenancy management and reporting requirements;
- Overseeing the tenancy management of all Council owned housing properties;
- Assisting in the formulation of plans, budgets and schedules for Council's housing programs;
About yourself
A person in this position will need to hold relevant Certificate/Diploma of Business Administration OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have relevant knowledge and experience relating to State Government and Residential Tenancies Authority reporting and legislative requirements in relation to delivering housing programs.
It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have a current driver's license is essential for this role as travel is required.
