Data Analyst and Administration Officer - Monash Health, Mental Health Program

About The Role
Are you an enthusiastic, intelligent and organised person with a degree in health or related sciences and research and program evaluation with an interest in Mental Health?
We are seeking a data analyst and administration officer to support the research and quality activities of a number of psychology Mental Health programs in Mental Health. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the data to support research and evaluation activities for the program as well as providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the clinical program.

Mental Health Program
Monash Health Mental Health Program provides a range of community, bed-based and specialist services covering the Casey, Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Monash LGAs – a population of nearly one million. It has an operational budget of $130 million and employs approximately 820 EFT, representing over 1000 staff.
Psychology and Specialist Services (PsySS) in the Mental Health Program provides a range of psychology services within the areas of Rehabilitation and Aged Care, Acute Neuropsychology and other Mental Health related programs such as Agile Psychological Medicine Clinics, Wellness & Recovery Centre, and Forensic Mental Health. PsySS is sponsored by the Executive Director of Mental Health and is led by a Director of Psychology and two Deputy Directors of Psychology who are responsible for the professional governance of all psychologists within Monash Health. PsySS also includes a Service Design team responsible for leading service design initiatives with the view to improve patients’ health and quality of life.
About You
You are an experienced, enthusiastic and organised data analyst with a demonstrated ability to provide analytical information and to function independently and collaboratively with evidence of good interpersonal skills.
- High degree of written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask and independently manage complex activities
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective documentation, records and data
- Ability to work autonomously, apply initiative, and prioritise work within established policies and guidelines
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in computer software applications
- Commitment to quality improvement activities
- Broad understanding of Victorian Health Services
- Working knowledge and understanding of current relevant legislation (eg. Information Privacy Act, Mental Health Act 2014 and Health Records Act)
What You Need (italics indicates ‘desirable’)
- Information technology qualifications and experience
- Current Victorian driver’s license
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, health sciences or medical
- At least 3 years’ experience in data analysis or similar role
