Our client is looking for two Administrators / Cost Controllers to join their team on-site on an 8/6 back-to-back roster for a 12-month contract. As an Administrator / Cost Controller, your primary responsibilities include a mix of site administrative functions, in addition to verifying costs with vendors and suppliers, estimating expenditures, and recommending cost-saving measures to upper management. You'll need to work closely with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability and provide a critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.
Additionally, you'll be responsible for assessing all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price and maintain positive vendor and service provider relationships.
Duties include:
- General administration duties
- Managing team and contractor logistics
- New starter management
- Creating Purchase Requisitions for materials and services
- Liaising with suppliers for delivery updates
- Analysing and reporting on project actuals vs budget
- End-of-month financial duties (Accruals, Journals, Allocations etc.)
About You:
- SAP experience
- Proficient in MS Excel & Word
- Fast learner (systems, processes etc.)
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent Cost Control experience, ideally within mining.
- Excellent organisational and time management.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
