About the Role
As Admissions Assistant, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of applications within agreed timelines to ensure that applications from prospective students are processed as quickly as possible. You will also process international student applications and acceptances, including the preparation of documentation to enable international students to obtain an appropriate visa and enrol at the University of Melbourne.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking initial checking of applications to ensure they are ready for assessment
- Accurate processing of applications within agreed timelines
- Checking the University’s English Language requirement has been satisfied using an approved English language test and verifying test results where necessary
- Updating systems (StudentOne, PRISMS, OneCRM) as required
- Communicating with applicants via email and other systems
Who we are looking for
You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in providing exceptional client service. Your strong organisational skills will enable you to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve results.
You will also have:
- Completion of a diploma-level qualification with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- High-level administration skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good computer skills, particularly in the suite of Microsoft applications, web and the use of databases and the ability to learn to use new systems

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff
Student Enrollment supports all students to apply, enrol and re-enrol as easily and quickly as possible, focusing on service from a student perspective. We administer scholarships and prizes and survey the student experience.
