Where the team fits in
The AdTech Specialist sits within Media Team, within the Advertising Portfolio.
The Media squad helps consumers share, rent, buy, sell and enjoy property, by
connecting them with all sorts of products and services to help them along their property journey.
This includes finance products, utilities, home services, furnishings, automotive
and many more innovative advertising and lead generation tools. The fast-growing Media business includes a cross-functional team from Product, IT, Sales, Marketing, PR and Communications, HR, Finance and Legal.
We’re all about using digital solutions to make property and everything that supports consumers around property, simple, efficient and stress free.
What the role is all about
The AdTech Specialist is an expert in this field, supporting innovative projects and initiatives that improve revenue and provide operational efficiencies, and help the business and team feel confident in the technologies used to power our products and processes. They are a key point of contact for technical challenges and play an active role in optimising our AdTech and related systems setup.
Technical

  • Working closely with the Media Squad, AdTech & Product team to manage in-bound technical support requests, deliver projects and maintain our existing products, including bug fixes and feature enhancements
  • Understand and develop advanced knowledge of the suite of tools and products in
use in Media operations, including but not limited to Ad Serving, Audience Management, CDP (Tealium), DSPs, SSPs, bidding solutions, analytics & reporting, and other technologies * Developing, maintaining, and improving systems used to manage revenue generating products and processes, including bug fixes and “BAU” feature enhancements
  • Proactively identify opportunities and improvements with our partners and suppliers, managing the adoption and communication of those changes with relevant stakeholders across the business
  • Assist with the set up and testing of campaigns, new ad formats and features
Process
  • Constantly developing your technical knowledge and skills to be able to contribute to the evolving needs of the business
  • Helping others in the understand opportunities to improve processes
  • Looks across the department for technical innovation, best practice and knowledge sharing
Communication
  • Participate in regular performance and evaluation reviews as required
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal communication
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders and relevant teams via stand-ups, 1:1s, WIPs, presentations, and other forums as required from time to time
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to OHS & EEO
standards and principles * Maintain professional and ethical behaviour
  • Ensure a safe workplace by reporting any hazards or potential dangers via the
prescribed incident reporting methods
Who we’re looking for
  • Experience & proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, APIs
  • Experience with projects relating to data quality management and improvement
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python would be an advantage
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital publishing/media and/or AdTech
  • Experience working with Ad Serving platforms – Google Ad Manager (GAM) preferred AdTech industry experience desired – Bidding solutions, DSPs, SSPs, Tag Management, CDPs, as well as knowledge of targeting and creative setup used in media campaigns
  • Able to work autonomously in a hybrid working environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, curiosity, and desire to learn
  • Able to navigate and be adaptable between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to use sound judgement to make decisions, handle responsibility and be
assertive within the parameters of the role
