You will have the opportunity to work with our talented and friendly team of professionals and be part of a global team of future shapers.Join Us and Make an Impact.We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Project Engineer - Process Control Systems to join our HPS team in our Brisbane, QLD office.Reporting to the Senior Engineer Program Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to lead/implement complex and standard engineering solutions, typically leading a project or undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. HMI, Control or Safety applications, Operational Technology, Hardware design), to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints achieving required quality.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
  • Responsible for technical delivery of Control Systems projects
  • Design and implementation of Control Systems projects, typically using Honeywell Experion controller/RTU and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers
  • Detailed design of Control Systems architectures
  • Development of Functional Design Specification, Detailed Design Specifications, clarifications of project scope, review of design inputs and test procedures as required.
  • Provide sales assistance for estimation, proposal preparation, demonstration of capability
  • Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
  • Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
Key Experience & Capabilities:
  • Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline (e.g.: Instrument & Control, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering).
  • Project experience as Engineer in at least one of the following vertical markets: Oil and Gas, Refining or Mining and Material Handling.
  • 8-12 years of applicable project experience
  • Experience in implementation of Control Systems for one of the manufacturing industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining and Chemical Industrial Process is Mandatory.
  • Good Knowledge of Design, implementation and support of Control Systems.
  • Experience with Honeywell DCS and Safety Systems is advantageous.
  • Design, installation and commissioning experience is required.
  • Working with multicultural & diverse global teams.
Key Challenges:
  • Travel requirement up to 20% (nationally and/or internationally)
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks
