Creating a brighter future for life in the Tropics and beyond, through education and research that makes a difference locally, and globally, James Cook University (JCU) is now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Advancement Services Officer to join our team in the Advancement Directorate.
  • Full-time: 36.25 hours per week
  • Fixed term to December 2025
  • Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus
  • HEWL 5: $72,059 - $81,732 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation.

WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE IN THE ROLE
Under the guidance of the Advancement Services Specialist, you’ll contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational activities within the Advancement Directorate through the provision of gifts and donations processing, data management and reporting, prospect donor research and communications, to support the Advancement Directorate’s focus on building a connected and engaged alumni and donor community. 
 


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
You have solid computer literacy skills with experience in data management and analytics, and an ability to easily adapt to new systems and applications. Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines will also be essential to succeed in this role. With effective communication and interpersonal skills, you can communicate information with accuracy and courtesy and work well in a busy team environment.
