Impact Missions are a collection of highly impactful programs and projects that sit outside the three focus areas of the Foundation.  Our Impact Missions will tackle big challenges that motivate our Founders. They are more granular and specific than our Focus Areas and we must be able to solve the challenge within a specified time frame. 

A mission will usually result in a new or improved technological, social and organisational solution that aims to respond to a grand societal challenge and create public value to society (e.g., climate mitigation, health improvement, sustainable economic growth, etc.).

In addition, Impact Missions provides critical support in international and domestic crises, with an approach that aims to reduce suffering by those affected by natural disasters and complex emergencies.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and purpose-driven Advisor, Partnerships to join a talented, cross-functional team within Minderoo Foundation’s Impact Missions team.

Working with the Head of Partnerships, Impact Missions, two Partnership Analysts and Impact Missions teams, you will provide strategic advice and support to team members enabling the effective establishment and ongoing management of collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.

The position will have the option of a Perth or Sydney base, and your responsibilities will include:

• Providing support to Impact Mission team members to effectively establish and manage collaborations with partners in line with our partnering philosophy and processes.
• Providing advice to team members to enable better outcomes through strengthening their understanding of partnership management practices.
• Working with Impact Team, embedded enablers and key teams in the matrix model to scope and draft partnership agreements.
• Serves as liaison between partners and internal stakeholders.
• Assessing Impact Missions partnerships for strategic value and alignment, effectiveness, and learnings.

Qualifications

About You

To be successful you need to be self-motivated, resilient, and highly collaborative. You are passionate about social impact and thrive in an agile working environment.

In addition, you hold a tertiary level qualification in a field such as commerce, political science, law or communications, or equivalent working experience.

Other skills and experience requirements include:

• Competency with technology including MS suite of software and databases such as CRMs.
• Exceptional oral and written communication with proven experience communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders and adjusting to varying working styles.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate differing views to accomplish work.
• Team focussed with a deep understanding of the value of relationship building.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements would be an advantage.
• Analytical mindset, comfortable with the sourcing and communication of data to varying audiences.
• Supporting of Minderoo’s vision and demonstrated alignment with our values.
