DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The AFL Victoria Trainee will provide administrative support to each of the four key departments within AFL
Victoria: (1) Club Development & Experience, (2) Community Football, (3) Growth & (4) Participation and Programs. Whilst reporting to the State Coaching Manager, the trainee will be involved in much more than just the coaching function within AFL Victoria. The role will provide a wonderful opportunity for the successful candidate to experience a diverse range of activities / tasks to help the trainee develop broad skills to assist them in their career aspirations.
Day in the life – what you will be responsible for
• Project support as directed – including conferences and events
• Email and telephone correspondence with community football regions, leagues and clubs
• Maintain and update databases and reports as relevant to each department
• Key meeting attendance and (under guidance of relevant Managers), arrangements for such meetings – including room bookings, agenda and minutes
• Support and contribute to the success of the broader team

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Core required competencies
• Excellent time management skills and ability to complete and prioritise tasks to a high standard
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn / develop
• General administration duties experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred (but not essential)
• Desire to continue a career in sports management
• Understanding of community football environment
• Previous sports administration experience – including coaching or volunteering

SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
$26,000 – $41,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification
