After Hours Hospital Manager / Access Coordinator
- An exciting opportunity is available in our Access Unit for a senior RN
- Located at The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus (Parkville)
- Part Time ongoing position - up to 72 hours per fortnight available
About us:
- Join the RMH Access Team and work out of our Digital Coordination Centre.
- You will be pivotal in facilitating effective patient flow to support Safe, Timely, Effective, Person-Centred care.
- You will be supported on your journey to achieve your goals.
Your new role:
- Assess critical situations and manage competing demands.
- Work collaboratively with all members of our multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate patient flow and problem solve issues within access.
- Monitor real time digital informatics to respond to areas of high demand efficiently
- Allocate patients to beds according to clinical priority.
About you:
You are a senior Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of acute clinical nursing experience, as well as:
- Bed Manager or After-Hours Hospital Manager experience or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- High level of reliability and professional conduct.
- High motivation and willingness to learn.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
