Our Family
We are a family of 5. Mum, Dad, 11yo boy and 8yo twin girls. Our eldest is very sporty and has training of some sort every afternoon/night. He is very bright and independent, plays the double bass. Twin 1, is very funny and outgoing and loves everything science, space, computers and dinosaurs. She doesn't have any extra-curricular activities currently but may be starting an online coding group this year. Twin 2 is super creative, friendly, confident and chatty. She is a very talented artist, and attends art classes weekly After School, she also is playing the saxophone this year in the school band. She plays soccer and will be starting gymnastics this year. Dad is an accountant and works full time for himself. He arrives home from work around 6pm and will sometimes pick our eldest up from training on his way home meaning you drop him off at soccer and take the girls back home. Mum works full time in a government role. Until May 2024, she will be working Monday to Friday until approx 5pm however will switch to shift work from May onwards. This means that there may be days where I will be home also and can assist with the kids and driving to activities. We are located in Castle Hill and the school is about a 10 - 15 minute drive from home. All activities are within a 15 minute drive.
Your Duties
We need someone to pick the kids up from school at 3pm and bring them home, homework help (they will need hands on help, not just supervision), drive to activities/sport/tutoring (all local), oversee music practice and provide supervision/encouragement to pack their bags/lunches for the next day. There will be no requirement to clean, do laundry or cook, unless you desperately want to??? The kids will get themselves their own afternoon tea. They are very self sufficient. We don't run with any strict parenting, diet or life philosophies but we do expect the kids to use their manners and be respectful always. We are pretty free range parents otherwise.
Our Perfect Caregiver
We are looking for someone mature, reliable, fun, organised and confident. Someone that is comfortable encouraging the kids to complete tasks themselves eg. tidying their belongings, bathing, packing bags/lunches etc instead of doing it for them as we very much encourage independence. A confident driver is essential, however the furthest you'll drive for any of the kids activities is 20minutes max. We'd prefer someone that can swim, as the kids will want to spend time in the pool of an afternoon and in the unlikely event that something happens you'll need to be able to assist.
