Autosports Group (ASG) is a large, listed retail automotive group representing the world’s greatest prestige and luxury automotive brands (Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, Bentley, Ducati, Audi, BMW and more). Currently with over 1800 employees across 55 Dealerships in NSW / QLD / VIC and NZ.

Currently we are looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join the group at Audi Five Dock

The objective of the Aftersales Manager is to develop and implement strategic plans that ensure the continued growth and profitability of the Aftersales Departments.

This role involves taking overall responsibility for the performance of the dealerships service department and parts department both in terms of revenue, productivity, customer satisfaction and the safety and efficiency of the workplace. 

In performing this role, you must act with integrity and transparency; representing Autosports Group values of individualised attention (both to customers, OEM brand partners and colleagues) at all times.

Some specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop detailed Aftersales Business Plan and monitor its effectiveness and analyse results on a regular basis (should be developed with Service and Parts Managers). 
  • Ensure compliance of statutory laws such as waste management and OH&S, making sure all staff follow compliance guidelines 
  • Attend to all customer concerns, resolve these concerns in a fair and consistent manner and record in the central customer concern database. 
  • Negotiate suppliers of equipment and consumables to ensure cost effective purchasing with arrangements are in place and pass all contracts/supply agreements to the managing director for approval
  • Plan and investigate the purchase of essential and desirable equipment and tools, space requirements, workshop layout and traffic control, approve sublets and purchase orders as the need arises. Recommend the purchase of equipment to the directors for purchase approval
  • Administer cost control, pricing, pay-plans, policy and warranty adjustments, discounts, purchase control and other elements effecting the department’s financial management including the development and implementation of service sales programs to achieve departmental budgets.
  • Check Departmental Daily Operating Control each day.
  • Investigate any incidents/accidents/near misses and provide an appropriate response to them. 
  • Achievement of Service department targets; profitability and CSI
  • Ensure workshop, warehouse, customer areas and dealership parking areas/driveways are presentable and report any maintenance issues to the Aftersales Manager
  • Produce reports and information as requested by the Dealer Principal or Financial Controller

To be successful you will have:

  • A Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Manager with a comparable automotive franchise
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and development skills and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performance team
  • The ability to develop, maintain and constantly improve department processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to often complex department issues in writing and to present to a group
  • A basic understanding of relevant legal and regulatory issues affecting the department
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to prepare, monitor and report on department budgets whilst driving results
  • The ability to monitor the departments adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Confident IT skills and the ability to lead by example with the integration of Autosports Group systems
  • A holistic appreciation of the importance of the service department as part of the overall dealership performance in terms of revenue and customer service
  • Appropriate technical qualifications
  • A current driver’s licence
