We are seeking an enthusiastic professionally qualified Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Social Worker or other relevant health professional to become part of the Aged Care Unit in Alice Springs as an ACAT Assessor.
The ACAT assessor conducts comprehensive clinical assessments for aged clients referred through My Aged Care. The Aged Care Assessment Program is a Commonwealth funded program, which has delegated authority to approve client placements for Permanent Residential Care, Residential Respite Care, Home Care Packages and the Transition Care Program/Short Term Restorative Care.
This position is part of the Aged Care Unit, which incorporates the Aged Care Assessment Program, Cognitive Support Service, Aboriginal Liaison and Psychogeriatric Service. The position is based in Alice Springs and involves occasional travel to remote communities in Central Australia and the Barkly District via 4WD vehicle or light aircraft.
