Job description

Our client is an impressive group of companies in Allied Health, providing services Australia-wide. As a member of a select panel, this organisation performs independent assessments for Aged Care residents. Opportunity for a casual RACA Assessor to join the team in Darwin is on offer. 

The Role

  • An independent & flexible role, visiting Aged Care Homes in your region
  • Casual hours & roster completed 1 month in advance - ability to fit in with your other commitments 
  • Complete AN-ACC interviews & assessments for residents of Aged Care homes
  • Broadly speaking, the assessment includes mobility, function, frailty, cognition, communication, behaviour & mental health, wound care & palliative care
  • Develop great relationships with residents, staff & other stakeholders
  • When not out visiting clients in your region, you can work from home
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Some travel to Alice Springs or Katherine may be required on occasion (1-2 nights away maximum), in line with business needs 
  • Be part of a collaborative team of Assessors committed to quality and client care
  • Government training to be completed in July (dates TBC), possibly interstate for a few days (all expenses paid)

The Ideal Candidate

  • AHPRA-Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with minimum 5 years’ experience Aged Care in Australia
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Eager to provide quality care to residents 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Highly organised, with exceptional time management
  • 3 x COVID vaccinations
  • Driver’s licence & car
  • Full working rights in Australia
