About the role

The Aged Care Chaplain provides mininful pastoral care services,encouraging residents towards their spiritual, emotional,psychological and social wellbeing according to their age andhealth status. Carinity's Chaplains participate in amulti-disciplinary healthcare team that aims to meet the needs ofresidents in an effective and holistic manner.

The role is based at Carinity Carinity Aged Care –Hilltop, this facility is located on a beautiful 2 ½ acreblock overlooking the city and Victoria Park, offering both quietand convenience. Hilltop accommodates beds for high, low andinterim care, providing quality care to each and everyresident.

What do I need?

• Comittment to work within the Christian ethos and framework of Carinity.
• Demonstrated passion for community service to the elderly
• Demonstrated emphathy and experience in Pastoral Care and/or Pastoral Counselling.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, offering support/assistance where required.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills for pastoral care and communication in multi-faith and multi-disciplinary settings.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of dementia and other conditions common in the elderly
