Are you passionate about agricultural innovation and sustainability? Miamoon Farm, a leading farm specializing in the cultivation of barley, wheat, canola, and lupins in the vibrant agricultural region of Wubin, WA, is seeking an experienced Agricultural Consultant to join our dedicated team

Key Responsibilities for the role are as follows:

Crop Planning and Management:

Develop and implement strategic crop plans, considering factors such as soil health, climate conditions, and market demand, to optimize yields of barley, wheat, canola, and lupins.

Soil Analysis and Improvement:

Conduct soil analyses to assess nutrient levels and recommend appropriate fertilization strategies. Implement soil improvement programs to enhance long-term productivity.

Pest and Disease Management:

Identify, monitor, and manage pests and diseases affecting crops. Develop integrated pest management plans to minimize the use of chemicals and promote environmentally sustainable practices.

Technology Integration:

Explore and integrate cutting-edge agricultural technologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in farming operations.

Market Analysis and Crop Rotation:

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and prices. Advise on crop rotation strategies to optimize soil health and capitalize on market demands.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural regulations and standards. Keep abreast of changes in legislation affecting the farming industry.

Client Consultation and Education:

Collaborate with farmers and stakeholders, providing expert advice and educational resources on sustainable farming practices, crop selection, and best management practices.

Budgeting and Financial Analysis:

Assist in the development and management of budgets for agricultural operations. Conduct financial analyses to evaluate the economic viability of different crops and recommend adjustments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or related field.

At least 2 years’ of experience as an Agricultural Consultant.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work in a team
