Job description

Regional Skills Training is looking for a Trainer and Assessor to deliver our Primary Industries training programs.

Location

This position will be based at either our Maitland, Yorke Peninsula or Glenelg office with travel to various regional locations in South Australia to deliver to our students.  

About the Role

Are you a person who has great communication skills and is confident in talking with a range of people in the agriculture community? RST is seeking a trainer who is patient, supportive and focused on helping our students learn as part of our hands on, practical focused training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a subject matter expert to the development of training programs, session plans, assessment tools and other training materials
  • Deliver training in primary industry activities such as chemical accreditation, pest and weed control, crop production and livestock care
  • Conduct practical assessments, support student progress and assess student outcomes

To be the successful applicant you must have:

  • Hold or willing to work towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
  • Relevant qualifications and proven experience in agriculture
  • Ability to ensure high WHS standards and student safety is maintained at all times
  • Strong and confident communication skills
