About the roles
Children’s centres provide a network of integrated health, family support and education service hubs for families with babies and young children across South Australia.As an Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist, you will provide discipline-informed group and individual services to promote children's healthy development and support parenting. You will apply evidence-based practices and work collaboratively with families and colleagues to deliver impactful interventions.Qualifications
Occupational therapist: Current and full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.Speech pathologist: An appropriate degree or equivalent eligible for full membership with Speech Pathology Australia. Current practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia (desirable).Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
