About the Role

 

Reporting to the AHS Training Academy Supervisor and AHS Mine Control Supervisor this is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Trainee AHS Mine Controller.

 

This role is an exciting opportunity to start a career in the mining industry and gain hands-on experience in mining operations on site and in our Perth based operations centre.

 

You will embark on a comprehensive training program through the AHS Training Academy, designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the role as AHS Mine Controller.

 

This role requires spending significant time on-site during the initial 6 month training period, providing a unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals in real-world setting. During the initial training program, you will be required to work a week on week off roster based on site for up to 3 months before continuing the training program in Perth.

  • Learn to manage the autonomous fleet effectively and efficiently. 
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and collaboration with leaders, team member and site
  • Continuous improvement through identifying system and operational improvement initiatives 

About You

 

  • Strategic, forward thinker with the ability to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Team player, strong communicator confident in collaborating with stakeholders across departments and sites
  • High level of computer literacy and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Available to work on rotational roster including dayshift nightshift, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous experience in logistics, technology and mining highly regarded
  • Unrestricted C class Australian drivers license
