Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

At the end of 4 years, you will have completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills comprising nationally recognised off the job learning combined with comprehensive on the job training under the guidance and mentoring of a highly skilled and experienced engineering team. 

Your training will take you through just about every component, section, and compartment of a modern International passenger aircraft. You will start to develop expertise across many engineering disciplines as you progress through the detailed maintenance, repair and diagnostic programs required to keep aircraft and passengers flying safely.

This apprenticeship will be your first step in becoming a licenced aircraft engineer under Australia’s strict Civil Aviation Regulations.

Key responsibilities

Assisting with the inspection, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft components.

Learning and understanding maintenance procedures and regulations.

Following safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong in Maths and Physics.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desire to learn and grow in the aviation industry.
