This is a valuable opportunity for an AME, looking to take the next step in their career. The RFDS can offer support and training to become a licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME).The Role

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Conduct weekly scheduled aircraft Base maintenance checks promptly without impact on aircraft network availability
- Conduct troubleshooting and rectification of any line defects arising daily during flight operations for all aircraft
- Conduct as directed daily pre-flight inspections
- Conduct all scheduled and corrective maintenance meeting expected OTP without impact on the aircraft network
- Compliance with all Occupational, Health, Safety & Welfare and quality and compliance obligations
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
- Willingness to travel to support the RFDS engineering network
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to pick up new computer applications
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in relation to Aircraft Maintenance
- Availability for AOG call out after hours and weekends for fleet defect rectification Queensland wide
- Aircraft maintenance experience on RFDS QLD aircraft i.e.- Beechcraft King Air
- Certificate 4 in Structural repair / Mechanical or equivalent
- Development opportunity for AME to be supported through licensing and development into LAME
- Flexible working hours Monday to Friday minimal weekend work
