The Airworthiness Review Employee (ARE) is responsible to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager. The Airworthiness Review Employee (ARE) are also responsible for conducting aircraft record reviews, aircraft surveys, preparation of the Airworthiness Review reports and issuing Airworthiness Review certificates in accordance with Subpart 42.1 of CASR 1998.

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties will include:

  • A visible safety champion who will challenge unsafe acts and pursue improvements in safety culture and behaviour.
  • Adhere to Company health, safety, environmental, and equal opportunity / sexual harassment policies.
  • Develop highly effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders whether they are internal (at a global, regional and in country level and particularly with the regional management team and employees) and externally (regulators, customers, and suppliers).
  • Demonstrate commitment and leadership to OHS by participating in meetings, inspections, promotions, and other appropriate activities.
  • Always model a positive image of CHC, when communicating to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform aircraft record reviews.
  • Perform Airworthiness Review inspections on aircraft.
  • Compile and issue Airworthiness Review reports.
  • Issue Airworthiness Review certificates.
  • Extend Airworthiness Review certificates.
  • Regional travel may be required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

The ideal candidate should process:

  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in continuing airworthiness.
  • Knowledge of a relevant sample of the types of aircraft CHC maintains (H175, AW 139 & 189, B412 and S92)
  • Have a Part 66 license (Cat B or C), or an aeronautical degree, or equivalent degree, being an engineering degree from mechanical, electrical, avionics or other studies relevant to the maintenance of aircraft or aircraft components.
  • Have formal aeronautical maintenance training.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to the airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Knowledge of the aircraft's certification basis
  • Knowledge of the aircraft's structure and systems, including the propulsion system, to a level that is at least equivalent to Level 1 as set out in Appendix III of the Part 66 MOS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to effectively communicate and negotiate with colleagues and partners.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and network effectively across multiple departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • A desire to provide creative solutions to operational aviation maintenance problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands, in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office, intranet platforms and other communications tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimum or little supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a positive team environment.
  • Flexible and Adaptable approach to meet business requirements.
