About the role
This varied position will see you provide quality Allied Health support under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist) in consumer’s homes to encourage and promote goal achievement, improve functional capacity and achieve the best possible outcomes that support all areas of daily living
About you
You’ll be driven by compassion and have an ability to build authentic relationships with the people you support. With initiative, self-motivation and reliability you’ll ensure consumers receive a safe and effective quality service. In addition, your key skills and experience will include:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Demonstrated experience as Allied Health Assistant with knowledge and competency in providing a range of therapeutic interventions/activities
- Ability to work within a multi-discipline team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally, and the ability to deliver documentation requirements to Accreditation Standards
- An ongoing commitment to person centred practice
- A reliable vehicle
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
- Current first aid certificate desirable
