The Townsville Rehabilitation Unit at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an experienced and client focused Allied Health Assistant to join their highly sklled multidisciplinary team. Townsville Rehabilitation Unit (TRU) s responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitation services to older and younger people in the final stage of their illness or injury recovery phase; to promote independence in activities of daily living that helps regain functional capacity and reduce functional decline. TRU is a stand-alone unit located on the eastern campus (off site) of the Townsville Hospital and the total number of beds in TRU is forty-five (45), consisting of two independent living units.Benefits
- Wage rate ranges between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h. (CA3)

- While not mandatory, a Certificate IV – Allied Health Assistant would be well regarded. Evidence of any Certificates/Qualifications held are to be provided prior to commencement of duty.
- Drivers Licence: The position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle, and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
- The Townsville Rehabilitation Unit may provide services across a seven-day period. The successful candidate may be required to participate in a seven-day rostering system.
Ability to apply knowledge in Allied Health, such as knowledge of health care systems, computer literacy, medical terminology, general medical conditions and basic anatomy.
