ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Sydney Private Hospital (TSPH) is a 90-bed surgical and rehabilitation hospital located in Ashfield. TSPH is surrounded by beautiful gardens and heritage buildings. The hospital is located close to public transport and provides free on-site parking for staff.
TSPH provides a broad range of surgical services through its eight operating theatres including orthopaedics, ophthalmology and general surgery. In addition, TSPH has an extensive in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation unit with multiple gyms and a hydrotherapy unit.
TSPH provides a range of specialised rehabilitation programs including Heart Wellness and Pulmonary reconditioning. These are in addition to more traditional programs such as reconditioning, neurological, and orthopaedic rehabilitation programs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Manager to lead and grow the hospitals Allied Health services for both in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation programs. In addition, you will play a key role in the procurement of in-patient referrals for rehabilitation through TSPH's extensive referrer relationships.
The successful applicant will have experience leading diverse teams and working with the hospital Senior Management Team including the Director of Nursing and the Clinical Services Manager. They will also have a dynamic and outgoing personality and desire to work with the Hospital Senior Managers in developing our programs.
DUTIES
- Lead in-patient and out-patient Allied Health programs
- Manage and motivate the Allied Health team
- Grow and develop relationships with referring hospitals and doctors
- Report to the Senior Management Meeting on both in-patient and out-patient department financial and business performance
- Identify new growth opportunities
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in physiotherapy, occupational therapy or exercise physiology and current AHPRA registration
- At least 5 years’ experience working as an Allied Health professional in a private hospital environment
- Previous Allied Health management experience
- Demonstrate high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
