In March 2023 Deakin Private Hospital opened as iMH's first private mental health hospital. Deakin Private is a 52 bed Hospital consisting of group therapy rooms and doctors consulting suites. Deakin Private has recently opened a 12-bed specialised PTSD/Trauma Support Unit for Military and First Responders. The hospital provides an innovative model of private mental care and is a fully integrated inpatient, day patient and outpatient mental health hospital that serves the region.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Professional to join our passionate and caring team in leading our group therapy programs.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Experienced Mental Health Professionals (psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists)
Currently registered with AHPRA or current membership with relevant professional peak body or organisation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Previous experience working in a Mental Health setting.
Previous experience delivering group therapy interventions.
Experience in the delivery of CBT, DBT and ACT based therapies
Ability to liaise with medical and nursing staff regarding patient management.
Ability to work cooperatively and positively influence teams.
Familiar with Private Health Insurance, DVA, Workcover, Third-party and Medicare requirements related to Allied Health care.
Comprehensive computer literacy.
Previous experience working with patients with occupational trauma is high regarded.
