Salary: $73,551.21 to $75,219.36 base per annum

About the role:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated individual with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Nursing Workforce team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.
The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate the appropriate provision of nursing personnel for clinical areas within the hospital and ambulatory care settings across a 7 day roster comprising of morning and afternoon shifts. Previous experience in a health setting and in staffing, rostering or workforce type roles desirable.
The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Allocations Officer who possess a passion for person centred care to support our Nursing Workforce team.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Certificate IV in Health Administration or willingness to commence comparable study within 12 months or significant relevant experience.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a wide range of personnel, including staff and managers within and external to the organization.
4. Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and also under minimal supervision.
6. Demonstrated organisational and planning skills in managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
7. Demonstrated computer skills, including data entry and excel capabilities, proficiency with e-mail and internet applications
