Council invites applications from customer focused and motivated people to apply for the role of Amenities Cleaner. You will join our dynamic and supportive City Presentation team who take pride in delivering exemplary services to our community. You will work autonomously and be responsible for a variety of diverse tasks with the focus being on cleaning of our public toilets. This position works a rotating roster with commencing times from 4:00am which is subject to change.
Additional duties include operation of small items of plant, use of field technologies including tablets, collection and replacement of used sharps containers, reporting instances where there may be danger to the public and undertaking administration functions associated with the role.

Specifically, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, perform duties in a reliable and enthusiastic manner, working as an individual and in a team environment
- Proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service
- Proven literacy and numeracy skills and computer skills, including the use of field technology such as tablets
- Understanding of environmental controls relevant to the role
- Class C Driver’s licence
- Experience in the use of small plant and equipment such as high-pressure cleaning equipment
