Your part in St Andrew’s War Memorial

You will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the perioperative patient.
  • Recognise the changing needs of clients and act to meet those needs.
  • Respond to changes in the patient’s anaesthetic condition.
  • Perform clinical procedures commensurate with the level of educational preparation/competency.
  • Pre-empt and protect the rights and safety of the patient.
  • Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow, consistent with the above and within the scope of the position.

What makes a difference for us?

You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills and will need:

  • Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the delivery of anaesthetic care.
  • Skilled coordination of anaesthetic care.
  • Progression in attaining knowledge of current anaesthetic practice and trends.
  • Previous experience as an Anaesthetic Technician in an acute healthcare facility.
