Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse specialising in Anaesthetics, you will play a critical role in their surgical team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing anaesthesia for surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the anaesthetic environment, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist anaesthetists with the induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of anaesthesia.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to anaesthetic-related emergencies.
- Provide post-anaesthetic care and ensure smooth recovery for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about anaesthetic procedures and post-operative care.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in anaesthetic nursing.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
