To join our Asia-Pacific team, we are looking for a talented Analytics Editor who can give a voice to the message we share with our expansive client base.
The Opportunity
Rystad Energy is seeking an ambitious and motivated candidate who can become a key resource in the development of our portfolio of analytics products. We aim to hire a talented writer/journalist with an analytical mindset and a strong interest in global energy markets.
The position involves working closely with analysts and researchers in writing, editing, and publishing reports and commentaries to our disparate group of readers in all corners of the globe. As trade flows and the overarching energy landscape change at an unprecedented pace, we expect the candidate to be nimble and capable of seamlessly juggling a range of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and publish topical commentaries and compelling research reports based on thorough analysis done by Rystad Energy analysts
  • Support the editorial roles in the company to ensure consistent, correct, constructive and professional communication in line with Rystad Energy’s brand and core values across all analytics products in the company’s portfolio
  • Engage in constructive dialogue with the various research teams in the company to ensure optimal selection of topics and angles for commentaries and reports
  • Contribute to timely production and publication of Rystad Energy analytics products in cooperation with product managers, with particular emphasis on the APAC region
  • Help to maintain and develop Rystad Energy’s client portal, where all analytics products are published and archived
  • Provide guidance to Rystad Energy analysts and consultants with a view towards enhancing written communication skills
Skills & Attributes for Success
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or similar level university degree
  • Relevant editing and writing experience in the media or within the energy industry
  • Good general knowledge of the energy sector, from oil and gas to renewables and power
  • Strong writing and analytical skills, with a knack for explaining the complexities of markets and industries to a sophisticated audience
  • A team player able to work closely with analysts to ensure our products are concise, sharp, and offer a unified view of our research
  • Basic familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint is preferable
  • Self-driven, energetic and proactive
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team-oriented, global, multi-cultural environment
Work Location & Travel Requirements
This position will be within the Asia-Pacific region – the exact location could be at any of Rystad Energy’s office locations in the wider region (including Singapore, Bangalore, Sydney and Perth, among others). Moderate travel should be expected.
